DJ Flamur
Flamur grew up in Gjakova, where his love for music was born amid cassette tapes and street culture. At just 11 years old, he discovered breakdancing, and by 15, he had already turned professional—winning first place at a competition in the Netherlands, the country he had just moved to.
His passion for music continued to evolve. In 1997, Flamur began writing English hip-hop songs and competing in rap battles, earning recognition for his energy and lyrical skill. His talent caught the attention of DJs at the legendary Peppermill in the Netherlands, where he became the resident MC. His performances quickly made him one of the most sought-after MCs across the Netherlands and Belgium.
In 2004, Flamur relocated to New York City, where he reinvented himself as DJ Flamur. After years of perseverance and artistic growth, he made history in NYC’s vibrant nightlife scene as the first DJ to blend Albanian and Oriental sounds into mainstream multicultural club settings. His pioneering fusion style struck a powerful chord—uniting audiences from every background and redefining what global nightlife could sound like.
